Adolf Hitler speaks to a group of enthralled followers, many of them members of the paramilitary organization, the Sturmabteilung (also known as the SA, Brownshirts, or Storm Troopers), in the basement canteen of the Brown House in Munich. The Brown House was purchased by the Nazi Party in 1930 and shortly after became their headquarters as they sought to establish themselves as a respectable and prestigious political party.
