Description
One of the thirteen drivers' liscenses discovered in Lichtenfels, Germany in 2017 which had been confiscated from Jewish residents of the town by Nazi authorities shortly after Kristallnacht. Alfred Marx was a furrier born in Oberlangenstadt in 1903 who was able to escape Germany with his family in 1939 and eventually settled down in Elmhurst, Queens.
