Description
Jeansland in Lichtenfels, Germany. Though it is now a clothing store, it was once the site of N. Oppenheimer Ltd. The Jewish Oppenheimer family lived and worked in this building from 1908 until 1938, when rising antisemitic sentiment convinced Alfred Oppenheimer to sell the business. Despite hopes of escape, in June of 1942 the Oppenheimer family was sent to Sobibór Extermination Camp.
