Description
"Le Traître" [The Traitor], lithograph number 6 of the series "Le Musée des Horreurs" [The Museum of Horrors]. This antisemitic caricature shows Alfred Dreyfus as a monstrous dragon with multiple serpentine heads. This was created by Victor Lenepveu in the midst of the Dreyfus Affair, a 12-year controversy that errupted after Dreyfus, a French army officer of Jewish descent, was wrongfully accused of treason.
