Description
Wedding ceremony of Morris Zimmerman and Frieda Berkowitz. Zimmerman, born in Działoszyn, Poland to a Jewish family in 1924, was just coming of age when the Nazis invaded Poland and sent him first to Częstochowa Ghetto, and then to Buchenwald concentration camp. Berkowitz, born in nearby Kłobuck was similarly sent to Bergen-Belsen concentration camp. Both fled to Belgium after the war where they met and married in 1948. In 1950 the couple immigrated to the United States where they built a family. They were married for 58 years.
