The men are dressed warmly in traditional robes, slippers, and hats. Taoism (or Daoism) is one of China’s most prominent traditional religious philosophies. Taoist priests performed a number of different functions, including attempting to cure illnesses, expelling demons, and performing rituals for burying the dead, n.d.
