Learning Activities from the Diversity and Collaborative Knowledge Program

Through a two-year grant from the Institute for Museum and Library Services, educators and school librarians from across New York State were hired to write learning activities using historical records related to the history of underrepresented communities. The state was divided into nine regions. Teachers from each region selected documents aligned with their classroom curriculum and wrote lessons appropriated for their grade level.
