Women's History Resources

Women's history is evident within the millions of documents held by the New York State Archives and in repository collections throughout New York State. Below are highlighted resources reflecting the diverse history of women in New York from the Dutch Colonial Period through the present day.

For Women's History Month the New York State Archives’ presents, A Woman's Place: The History of the New York State Women's Division. This display highlights the records related to the creation and work of the Women's Division. The display, located on the 11th floor in the Cultural Education Center, will be up throughout the month of March.
