Exploring the Collections of the New York State Museum

The resources on this page were developed for teachers who attended the New York State Museum Workshop during the 2024 New York State Council for the Social Studies Annual Conference. Attendees received a tour of one of four collections followed by an opportunity to create lessons using the items featured in the tours. Below are learning activities designed to spark ideas for using these primary sources in your classroom.
